Privacy Policy

1. Who We Are

DoBot™ ("we", "us", "our") is a Discord bot and web dashboard available at dobot.life. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use DoBot in your Discord server or log in to our dashboard.

2. What Data We Collect

We collect the minimum data necessary to operate the bot. This includes:

• Discord server (guild) IDs — to identify which server a configuration belongs to.
• Channel IDs and role IDs — to route log messages, set up auto-roles, configure moderation, and operate other features you enable.
• User IDs — for moderation logs (warnings, bans, mutes), economy data, XP/leveling, and other per-user features when enabled by your server's administrators.
• Message content (partial) — only when message logging is enabled by a server admin. Content is stored briefly to display in deletion/edit logs and is never sent to third parties.
• Dashboard OAuth data — when you log in to the dashboard via Discord OAuth2, we receive your Discord username, avatar, and a list of guilds you have access to. We use this solely for authentication and to show your servers. We do not store your OAuth tokens beyond the session.
• Configuration settings — any settings you configure through the dashboard or bot commands (e.g. prefix, log channels, auto-moderation thresholds).

3. How We Use Your Data

All data collected is used exclusively to:

• Operate the features of DoBot that you or your server administrators have enabled.
• Display configuration in the web dashboard.
• Maintain moderation records (warns, bans, mutes) for your server.
• Power economy, XP, leveling, and other community features.

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond operating the service.

4. Data Storage

Data is stored in a SQLite database with regular backups to a PostgreSQL database. Databases are stored in a secured hosted environment. We do not share database contents with any third party.

Session data for dashboard logins is stored in memory only and is cleared when your session ends or the server restarts.

5. Data Retention

Server configuration and moderation data is retained as long as DoBot remains in your server. When you remove DoBot from your server, you may request full deletion of your server's data by contacting us on our Discord server.

Individual user data (economy balance, XP, warnings) is tied to your server and can be cleared by a server administrator using bot commands.

6. Third-Party Services

DoBot uses the Discord API to operate. By using DoBot you are also subject to Discord's Privacy Policy. We do not use any other third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services.

7. Children's Privacy

DoBot is not directed at children under 13. Because Discord itself requires users to be at least 13, we rely on Discord's own age enforcement. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13.

8. Your Rights

You may request to view, export, or delete your data at any time by reaching out on our Discord support server. We will respond within a reasonable time.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of DoBot after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
